📝 What You Need to Rent a Mailbox

To open a mailbox, the USPS requires us to verify your identity and complete a federal form. Here’s what you need to bring:

🔐 Required Documents:

Bring 2 valid forms of ID — one must include a photo, and both must be current.
Examples include:

• ✅ Photo ID (required):
• Driver’s license or state ID
• Passport
• Military ID
• Green Card
• ✅ Secondary ID (must match your name):
• Utility bill
• Voter registration card
• Vehicle registration
• Lease or mortgage statement
• Insurance policy
• Tax return (from the current year)

📌 Note: Social Security cards and credit cards are not accepted as valid ID.

🖊️ Required Forms:

• USPS Form 1583 – This is a federal form required by the U.S. Postal Service for all private mailbox rentals. We have the forms on hand, no need to worry about bringing it in.
• We'll help you fill it out in-store and make necessary copies.
• Adding additional mail recipients? You must list their name on Form 1583 and provide copies of 2 valid forms of ID. They do not need to be present or sign the form.
